What is this part

Working on the 1997 5.7 Tahoe today I noticed what seems to be a rubber elbow missing a vaccuum line maybe??
Position is on passenger side of the intake manifold about halfway down.

What is this and what should be plugged into this?
Truck seems to be running/idleing perfectly.

looks like your EGR and based off memory i cant remember where it goes off the top of my head should be 2 hoses leadin in and out of it

Ruled out its not the EGR valve, that's on the front of this engine.
Added a second pic for clarity. it has the blue connector on top, rubber elbow goes nowhere.


Can someone with a 1997 5.7 post up a pic of the passenger side intake manifold about halfway down so I can see where this leads.
Part is visible just above valve cover.

that hose is vent leave unplugged and pointing down. not for egr. think evap or water valve cant recall at the moment. otherwise ♫ CAN'T TOUCH THIS♫
