I have that on my tahoe as well.

I "think" it's an extra setup for a horn that isn't there. Depending on the model of your vehicle, I believe there were three potential horn locations...it looks like Chevy ran the wire and simply terminated the connection with a dummy plug.

I'd have to look at it closer, but that's my guess :)

On my tahoe, mounted near the grill is something similar, and it's an ambient air temperature sensor. Has to do with the HVAC system to measure the outside air for some reason. I happened upon it on a schematic of my heater controls Here's a link to a schematic, not sure you'll be able to see it or not.

Maybe that's what you have???

If the wires are Lite Green/black and brown that is an outside air temperature probe that display in the rear view mirror.

Dude, you complain about all the issues you're having with your truck....leave well enough alone!!! :) If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! With your luck, it will be an airbag sensor and when you unplug it, your airbags will go off!

lol...to check your airbag fuse, get one of those huge mallets for driving steel on the railroad.

Here is what you do...stand in front of tahoe (mallet in hand)
Stretch well (you don't want to pull a muscle)
Take a few practice swings (to ensure accuracy)
then hit that little plug as hard as you can

Now check:
Is horn blowing?
Did airbags go off?
Are you strong enough to crack your radiator?
Are you strong enough to crack your engine block?

Just think - now you have material to post for months with all the fixes - i say go for it!!!
