I just switched from the stock 17's to the stock 20's on my 2007 Yukon. Since the lug nuts on my 17's were the nut style with black plastic caps, I went out and bought some chrome lug nuts from the local auto parts store to put on with the polished aluminum GMC 20's. Well I went to bolt them up and the lug nuts were the right size for the studs (14 mm x 1.5) but the lug nuts looked entirely too small. I felt like if I tightened the lug nuts up enough they were going to start pulling through the holes in the rims since the overall diameter of the lug nuts was barely larger than the size of the holes in the rims. I also noticed that I am going to need the "long" style lug nuts since the studs are too long for the standard size lug nuts to handle. So my question is what lug nuts are you guys using on your stock GMC 20" wheels?? I screwed my old ones on from my 17's for now but I obviously would like to get rid of the black capped lug nuts ruining the shine of my polished 20's.

I checked all of the auto pats stores and they all carry the exact same generic brand of lug nuts so that's not going to work. The dealer wants like $6 a lug for the factory ones that go with those wheels and les schwab wants $3 a lug for their generic long style chrome lugs. I would like to avoid paying $75 for lug nuts but obviously don't want anything cheap in quality since my 2 year old will be riding around in the Yukon. Thanks for your guys help!

Check eBay for OEM lug nuts. Should be able to find a used set for $30.
