Hey all,

Looking to add big brakes to the Tahoe. I'm looking at a 16"/14" set up, and know that I need at least 20"s rims to use the kit. I have oem 22"s on the truck, so that's not an issue... But the spare could be.

Do you know if the spare is also a 20" wheel? We're talking about an '09 LTZ here. (I'm in the office right now and can't easily go crawling under the truck to find out for myself. Soul, I think you've looked into this recently...)

Thanks!

Btw, if you have 22s on you need to replace the hoist with the stronger one. It's like $50 or so and it allows you to hoist up the heavier 22" wheel when it's been swapped with the spare. Of course you could alwas throw the wheel with the flat in the trunk and avoid swapping hoists. Just don't put your 22 on the existing hoist. :)

Great info, folks. Thanks! Looks like I'll either get another 22", or just use one of my stock 20"s there.

Serge, have a part number for the hoist?
