What the heck can you store in the rear cargo compartment?

It doesn't seem big enough to put anything in other than maybe a first aid kit. My old 4Runner had a compartment like that as well in even a weirder shape. But that at least had a strap in it so I could put the hitch inside without it rattling around.

I've yet to have a vehicle with a rear cargo compartment that was actually useful.

I put my trailer ball/hitch in there and it doesnt rattle around.

I wasn't sure if it was big enough for one. I have a recovery strap i might try to cram in there.

ALTHOUGH mine is different i'm aware i have my towing harness and a flashlight wrapped in a towel to keep it from rattling with a small tool assortment in case i need it.

On the side. I haven't even checked out where the jack is. I tried pulling up on the thing but its on there pretty good! I figured I'd way until it was older than 1 day to start breaking things.
