What the heck can you store in the rear cargo compartment?

It does require a lot of force to extract it.

Lack of storage is the price we pay for power liftgates and rear A/C.

I've seen where some have mounted a battery box where the extra tray is in the LF corner. Sounds like a good idea for stuff not affected by heat.

I don't have a power liftgate.

I did finally pull the tray out to see where the jack is. It did take a good bit of force but nothing broke.

Yeah, that is one thing I miss from my 97 Tahoe, the extra bit of storage space. In the jack area I've got a pair of gloves, fire extinguisher, and jumper cables. Yep, it does take a fair amount of force to get that cover off. I have noticed with those rear panels off during my A/V build that there is some storage space below the hardware for the power lift gate that could be made use of. One would just need to fabricate a box to keep things from rolling all over and a door to access it.

Yeah I get crazy when my glass is dirty so it's always armorall glass whipes and a roll of disposable microfiber towels squeezed in there
