I need to put new tires on the factory 16" wheels on my 03 Kon and was wondering what tires people are running. Right now I've got Cooper Discovery ATR's on and TBH I wasn't impressed with the traction in the snow. I'm leaning towards the Bridgestone Revo 2 because they seem to be a good tire for the money, this month there's a 70 rebate on Bridgestones. I wanted Duelers but I guess they don't make them in a 16" wheel. I've also considered the Hankook Dynapro's. I live in So Dak so we do get snow, but I don't want anything overly aggressive because of the road noise. I ran around to a handful of tire shops this weekend to do some pricing and none of them suggested the same tire. I want something that doesn't look like a passenger tire, but I also don't want some knobby mud tires.

What are your thoughts?

Check out the Michelins at Costco if you're a member.

The Nitto Terra Grappler is a pretty good tire for the money from what I hear.

I had the Bridgestone Duellers and really liked those tires. I've heard the Revo 2s are good as well.

I just put BFG Rugged Terrains on two weeks ago. I went with them because they seemed to be a good tire for money and looked somewhat aggressive. So far I really like them.

It was a toss up between the BFGs and Terra-Grapplers. I really wanted the TGs but they were $200 more, no warranty, and had to have been ordered.

I'm going with the Revo 2. Can't really beat it for the price, 680 installed plus a 70 or 100 mail in rebate. I've never had Bridgestone's, but people I've talked too are happy with them. Now I want some snow to try them out.

My '99 had BFG Rugged Trail on it when I bought it and they seem OK. I had put BFG All Terrain A/T KO on my 4Runner and they were great tires. About 50% tread life after 40k miles, not noisy at all, great traction. I'll be putting them on my Yukon when the current tires are done.

Nitto Crosstek's, they're basically Terra Grappler's redesigned but a lot better in my opinion.
