It's actually pretty straight forward. I did mine in the garage w/ a jack and jack stands. The only issue I had was that my OE bolts were too short and I had to get a couple new longer ones (grade 8 zinc coated ftw!). Once you've unbolted the lower RTA and slid in the relocation bracket, you'll have to tilt the axle to get the lower RTA in the new hole. Other than that it's not too bad.

1. Support axle
2. Unbolt lower shock bolts
3. Remove old springs
4. Unbolt lower RTA
5. Install bracket
6. Bolt in bracket
7. Bolt in lower RTA
8. Install new springs
9. Bolt in lower shock bolts

You make tilting the axle sound so easy. lol. Mine was a pita. But i have mcgauhy's relocation, not sure its much different all same concept. But if you have a lift, you are already done w/ the hard part. Much, much easier than crawling on the floor.

but bascically what alex posted is it. Not much to it.

HAHA, you're right Mike. Tilting the axle takes a little bit of "motivation" but it's not too bad.

well, the kit says i need to drill a hole for the trailing arm to clear

here's what it says

The d-bushing on the driver side must be moved over on the frame about
2” (Fig #4). There is a hole already in the pad. Line up and drill the second
hole then bolt on with 3/8” x 1“ bolts (Fig #5).

have any of you done this ?

also would i need a panhard bar ?spohn ?

The adj panhard is nice to have but I hear it's not necessary. I like my Spohn.

Edit: I get it travieso, on the McG kit that hole is pre-drilled from the manufacturer so Mike and I didn't have to drill it. Drilling the hole in the bracket shouldn't be too bad. You want it there to keep the bracket from moving w/o the axle.

Adj. is nice, mine wasnt too far off actually from being lowered. I didnt notice it do anything else though. Not necessary at all. I had my stock one on for awhile.

and didnt understand the drill hole thing either until i clicked the instructions. If im understand right, your drilling a hole b/c you have to move the sway bar over about an inch or so. I just eyeballed it and drilled. Its not bad to do, just make sure you have a good drill bit and you will be fine. Moving the sway over b/c it will hit the panhard bracket on the right side. (passenger side)

But i could be completely wrong on what your asking. I read alex's, but still dont get it. I guess b/c i didnt drill anything but the sway bar bracket.
