What transmissions can be used in this 02 yukon SLT??

As the title says what can i use with this yukon does it have to be the same as was in it and what year and vehicles carried this tranny will a 4.8 tranny work ??

Tom, we need a little more info to really help you out. To start, is it Rwd or 4wd and is it a 1500 or 2500?

A 2500 will have 8 lug wheels. Also, it sounds like you have a 4WD truck. Assuming this is correct, you'll need a 4L60E w/ 4WD output. I believe any trans out of a 99-05 GMT800 should work.

4L60E. Found in 98-02 camaro, trans am, firebirds. early 2000's Chevy s10, 2000's blazers, 00-06 chevy 1500, 99-2006 surburban, and some 1500 chevy vans 2000's.

Top of my head..

The 97 and before have 4L60 not 4L60E. E = means its electronic.
