I use Penzoil Platinum High Mileage Synthetic and it says for vehicles over 75k. I know that is just marketing, but since there is no difference in price I see no reason to question it.

I started using it since I noticed a few minor leaks when I first purchased my Yukon. I think it has stopped most of them, and slowed the leak on my main rear seal to a minor drip. Last oil change I was down less than half a quart after a 5000 mile oil and filter change.

yea the M1 says 75k miles too but i felt thats kind of low for a car..but then again im not a mechanic maybe im just used to seeing 300k+ cars alot lol i figured id start the HM version once i get the 100k maintenance done. keep everything on the same level. not sure if ittl make difference but makes me feel a little better. i havent had any leaks yet except for a coolant leak that turned out to be a dying water pump last year.

I just bought a 2004 z71.

150k miles

It has a minor oil leak. Not sure if it's rear main seal or not.

Previous owner said they used conventional valvilone

Is it ok for me to use Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic and also should I go for the regular synthetic or high mileage?

Should I try replacing a quart with some type of stop leak product or is there no such thing that will work?

I personally like to run straight oil myself
