Modded had it right with the 22" and a 305/45/22. Unless your going to lower it. I have a 2/4 drop and 285/45/22 which work perfect. I run a Toyo h/t as my winter tire which rides awesome. Check out my sig. It's my summer setup with factory bridgestones which I thought were pretty good until I put on my h/T's. here's my winter setup. Lots of pics in the album too.

:hmmm2: i say you keep your winter setup as a permanent setup. sell the summer wheels for more mods and toys

I would really do 20s because curbs and offroad is just a bad idea for big rims unless they are on tractor tires

You can't even get 22's as a "truck tire", all 22's are car type tires. Only 20's can be had as a LT tire.

In a pursuit hopping a curb with 22s would be very risky because the tires too thin and your just gonna bend a rim and have a blowout. The smaller the rim is the fatter tire and more protection

I say leave your truck the way it is.

I would not put on 22's if you actually use your truck for the things stated above.

LEO's have steel 17's don't they?

That extra side wall is nice to have.

If you want to mess with rims and tires do your ZO6. :naughty:

yes, 17s are standard, but, a lot of Agencies are switching things up so that people don't automatically awesome COPS!

I Actually sold the ZO6 and bought a dedicated track car; 2009 Porsche GT2.

And I've decided to STOP using my Tahoe for POV use. It's just not needed as I have my Crown Vic and Expedition.

Thanks for your input!

I say you get some OE 22s with a meaty tire like a 305/45/22 or a 305/40/22.
You will also need to spray the wheels gloss or flat black.
That way you will still be fine with 22s and using it for trying LEO situation.
Also, get aftermarket sway bars, Bilstein shocks, and a 2/3 Belltech drop.
All your LEO friends will be jealous and your Tahoe will do things their Tahoes can't get close to doing.

Thanks bro.

Where can I find OEM wheels? I know of gmaccessories.com , but are there any others? I might be interested in OEM Escalade wheels.

But, I've been surfing Tirerack and I have found some nice wheels, including the KMC Slides, which I have read about on this site a lot.

Right now I am just trying to figure out if I should get Chrome or Polished Black. It's split down the middle for me and also my friends opinions.

Modded; where is the best place to buy Suspension Parts including your recommended 2/3 Belltech drop?
