SW CT,
Yeah, I got to go with Modded on this one..50-60% of what you paid for your mods. Then hit craigslist, cars.com, and my buddy has great luck on ebay selling modded cars/trucks/suv's.

Off your 08 with all those features, you can pull $26-28k in a private sale at the very least.

I'd buy it for $28k if I were in the market ... low mileage 08s aren't very common, especially with the tasteful mods you've got. The key (for me) is that you haven't done any engine mods, so whomever buys it would get a clean engine.

I've had good luck selling modded vehicles through a site called Mautofied.com. I sold both my 99 Silverado on 37's and my 06 2500HD on 37's to people from WAY out of my area for what I wanted out of both. Worth a shot. I'd keep it though personally.

It's not on the market and won't be at the minimum until the new Grand Cherokee SRT8's are out. I may honestly wait another year after there out and buy a slightly used one (let someone else take it in the rear on depreciation).

I won't be parting anything out on the truck. It'll go as is when the time is right.

I was thinking 28-30k but that could be a little wishful lol.

Basically everyone confirms what I already said. Your mods are only worth something to a private party that wants the truck with those mods and are willing to pay for them, usually about 50% of what they cost you less the blood sweat and tears to install them. They don't count for anything to KBB, a bank that might loan your buyer the cash, or to a dealer on a trade. You're fine at that asking price since that's at the upper end of what people are asking, but not out of line. My only suggestion is that you pull the trigger ASAP and avoid another year's depreciation if you have something else to drive while you're waiting on the right Jeep. I do agree with Blk '06 on a warranty. I had 2 GC's that were both headaches. The second one Chrysler had to buy back.

Its tough to sell anything custom out here in Arizona. I've had a few vehicles for sale this year and have buddies trying to sell aswell. Seems like anything with mods, no matter how mild or wild, will not only make them harder to sell but worth less than stock. Its goofy but seems like it drives the price down if you can even find anyone interested.

I would normally agree with you 110% but my Tahoe is kinda in a different mod category b/c it's not really modded. It gets mistaken for OEM all the time which to me is an asset. I've had crazy modded trucks and trust me I know that you're lucky to get anything outta what you put in them but to me the truck I have now is different.

+1 on the SRT-8. I'm having the same thoughts. Seems like a no brainer to me, something that can tow my boat, AWD, and has a sub 5sec 0-60 for less then 50k... (Like you said, need to wait until they start coming in with low mile trade-ins to get in the < $50k range.)

You have a nice truck and have done a nice job keeping it pretty clean looking from a modification pov but with gas where it is and GM offering massive discounts with high levels of new inventory the used market is really soft at the moment. Exactly why I finally parted with my 04' Denali and upgraded to the low mile 11'.

I paid right at $12K less than a zero mile truck and $4K less than book. I would also agree that the mods are a wash at resale. You can hold out for the buyer that knows what their worth but most people just don't care. You have to mod for yourself not resale. California may be different but in the Central US it is a fact of life that mods are worth nothing once you put them on and in many cases reduce the saleability.

The SRT-8 should be nice and I like the new Grand Cherokee and even considered it for a second but the lack of cargo space and true towing capability just ruled it out for me.

i sold my 07 srt8 with lots of visual mods (hood, wheels, trim pieces) and got lucky it sold before i even posted it for sale, i just mentioned i might be selling and offers came pouring in.

I was a part of the cherokeesrt8.com community and most of the interest in the vehicle came from members who admired what i had done and passed the word.

I mention that because when you are ready to sell you will probably receive the most interest right here on this forum from folks who admire and appreciate the time and attention you've put into your truck.

The srt8 was a complete
blast to drive but as my family grew she had to go and is and and will be be missed, replaced it with my 10 denali which i have also grown to love especially the space.
