love my Clarion NX501 Vav DD unit.

I had a Valor unit in my Hummer and I liked the Nav, hated the search aspect though. It had a separate unit you could download maps to via memory card. Now I have a Jensen 9424. I have not installed it but I did a lot of research before I bought one, the onlycomplaint I read about the Jensen was the Nav screen looked animated. The fact I bought it new with BT module on eBay for $340 and had a 10% coup from eBay helped. I would agree that Kenwood is the Nav leader but I won't spend $1000 on something I prolly won't use for more then a year(don't keep rides long)

I'm putting a Kenwood 6980 in my 08 Vette this week. I went with Kenwood because the NAV is Garmin-based. $1200 for everything from Double D mods in Wisconsin. He prewires it so it is practically plug and play. I don't know if he has a package for our SUVs, worth a shot asking though.

I would have to say that for now the best aftermarket nav is the Kenwood DNX9960.

agreed, well until the 9980 comes out in a few months. I have the 9960 and I love it. The 9980 is going to do OBD2 diagnostics as well.

I have a Chevy Traverse 2010 NON-AMP, NON BOSE.
BUT WITH: Factory Bluetooth, XM SAT Radio and backup sensors.

I kinda like the Kenwood 9960 too but i would appreciate some details since it seems you are familier.

is it possible and if so what (Interfaces/moudoules) would i need to retain: Steeringwheel controls, factory XM, Onstar, Backup sensors and all other chimings? (i know about the PAC OS-4 but that would give me XM only through the Drivers Information display and controled Via steering wheel controls only.. which i kinda hate.. would wanna have them in the Navigation receiver itself.)

Go with the Kenwood 9980 it just came out. It has everything you want and has pandora. That's what I am getting when I get back.

I'm aware of the 9980HD but its mighty expensive.. (1800 vs 1100 for the 9960).

In any case, the interfaces and modules required to maintain all the factory settings would be the same..

So my question to all those with the 9960 installed: how did you manage to retain all the factory features (Steering wheel control, factory XM, all chiming warnings, onstar, backup sensors, etc.)

Main concern is XM since I do have a great worked out subscription plan with them..

Anyone with the Kenwood 9960 or 9980 installed in chevy. Please share your thoughts.

alpine w910 Due out in may, navi, Hd tuner, itunes tagging, built in bluetooth are some of the things that i remember off the top of my head
