Whats the best way to clean engine?

My engine isnt very dirty but I still would like to clean it. Does engine brite work or what does?

simple green and a brush
then you can spray a engine detailer once you hose off all the degreaser so everything gets protected and stays clean and shiny

I use CD2, you spray it on let it sit for 20 minutes then start up the car and let it idle for 5 minutes and its good to go

be careful when you are using the hose or pressure washer and try not to force any water in the alternator, otherwise when you start it you will see very low voltage almost like the car is still off but once you rev it to 2k it will pop right back up
