You will be looking at the end of the year if you ordered it now. The amount of items on constraint for a fully loaded truck is insane. I ordered mine October last year and I'm still waiting for the factory to accept my order and I've already made a couple compromises.
That is not encouraging to hear.

Best advise if you dont want to wait, keep your eyes open on the GMC website for new vehicles that are in transit to dealers that might be for stock not pre-orders.
I've been on the GMC Inventory website for the last 8 months and calling local dealerships on arriving vehicles up until now. Back then I was casually feeling out the inventory, but now that I'm 100% committed to getting my Yukon AT4, you guys are telling me it might be a while for factory orders. My salesperson has been in the game since I was in elementary school (I'm 50+), so I hope she has some inside connections at GMC to expedite my order... But I doubt it.

@ProfeZZor X best of luck with your order and search. Maybe your sales rep can pull strings, but unless you are a big time customer giving them several purchases a year over the last couple years, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I have had two orders in at separate dealerships since August (denali/diesel/airride/bench/pano) and was told in November I could remove items to get the order picked up, otherwise looking to be spring at earliest. With an 80k price tag, I'm not going to settle for less than what I want just to get a new ride. I'll keep rolling around in my '11 grand cherokee and hope it doesn't fail me before mine is built how I want it.

I know it's sort of a loaded question, and there's a lot of variables to consider, but generally speaking if you order a new fully loaded Yukon, what kind of wait are we looking at? In my search for on-hand stock at dealers for the last few months, I inevitably came to the realization that I needed to place an order for my vehicle if I'm ever going to get one for myself. After speaking with a few dozen salespeople during the last few months, I've been getting mixed timelines on when GMC is processing these orders. I've heard anything from 16 weeks to an entire year.

Now I haven't custom ordered a Denali from GMC since 96', so I would imagine the process has changed quite a bit - especially given the state of the market and the supply chain issues everyone has been experiencing. Today I ordered my Yukon AT4 in all black with the AT4 Premium Plus package and several other options, but I'm uncertain if the length of my build time is all dependent on the amount of options I ordered, or there's a general waiting time for every vehicle, regardless of the number factory options added. Granted, if one or more of those optioned materials isn't available, there's an additional wait time until it arrives, or it's retrofitted on a later date... I get that.

So what's your experience on ordering to arrival? ...And how long did it take for you to get your vehicle?
If you want the premium plus package with the RSE your gona be waiting a long time. I would drop that

Ordered in early october. Changed some stuff on constraint in january to get to 3000 status. Now our TPW keeps getting pushed back every few weeks. Shit is getting old :(

I had to remove the RES and I took off a couple of the RPO options I had on it. My dealer said that would help but there's still other items on constraint that will make it difficult to be accepted. I told him that I'm not compromising any more. It's almost a better idea to hold out for a 2023 in hopes supply chain and ship shortages rebound a bit so you can actually get what you want.

I have been relentlessly calling all dealers in my state the last few weeks and have seen some availability for Yukon XL Denali's (the model I am after) that are status 3000/3400, they just happen to be colors I do not want.

Finally found one yesterday in a spec I want to was able to get it locked in. Might be something to consider doing? But it is a pain calling around...

I spoke to my saleslady today, and she officially provided me with my order number. She did say there were 2 items on my list that were on restraint, but they were items I could live without for now, and not vital to my build. It was the Illumination Package, and the Interior Protection Package... So yeah, light up GMC grill/side mirrors and rubber mats. I think I can live without those items for now. To be honest, I was expecting a lot more items on my list to be on restraint.

I mostly relied on whatever the GMC Inventory site posted, and followed up with that dealer's website prompts of leaving my call-back number regarding that specific Yukon I was interested in. It inevitably turned into a $#!+ show of robo-text messages and random calls while I was at work... Even now, I'm still trying to flush out old text messages and voicemails from random salespeople calling me about a vehicle that was already pre-sold months before it ever posted on the GMC Inventory website.

Both of those can be had as accessories. You will get about $200 worth of GM Rewards points for buying your new ride. Use those to order the floor liners from the Accessories store on GMC.com. If you know what color you want, they are on sale for 15% off right now. The illumination stuff your dealer parts dept can order and install before you take delivery. I got my floor liners before Christmas for 25% off when the Accessories store had a sale. They sat in my garage till last week when I got my vehicle.
