Sometimes they tend to make noise when they are going bad, or get clogged with dust/dirt.
Try a can of compressed air (like the one for computer keyboards), or go to you nearest car detail shop and have them blow air into it for like 5 seconds, if the noise continues, buy a new one, its cheap.
