I purchased a used 07 Tahoe and I wanted to see if anyone has ever seen this corrosion happen to the OEM wheels? Its worst around the valve stems and varies between each wheel. Has there ever been a TSB on these wheels? Do you know of any fix? Thanks

I have the same thing happening to my OEM 20" wheels. TO my knowledge there is no fix other than new wheels.

I too have an OEM 20" wheels though not as bad but small rust stains spread throughout the wheels. I spoke with GM customer service and told me to have it inspected at the dealership and if warranted they will replace all 4 wheels. I have an appointment this weekend and let you know how it goes.

What is the standard warranty on these things? I have 53K miles on mine now. I know the powertrain is 100K, but I think I am SOL with the wheels.

my 2009 LTZ wheels are yellowing until i tried clear coat safe wheel polish.

the dealer did say it should be covered under 5 year 60,000 paint coverage since it's a painted surface.

According to GM it should be 5yr/100,000 mi but then mines an 07 Yukon Denali, I do not know if there are any difference between brands.

Nope, not covered. Wheels fall under the 3 year 36K warranty. Called two local dealers just to make sure.

I talked to GM and they said the same thing that it was under the 3/36k. They did tell me though that I might to talk to the dealer I bought it from and see if they would help me anyway.

I've also talked to a local tire shop and they told me for about $100 plus mounting a wheel they could strip down and recover the wheels and it would have them looking like new ones. Next time I'm due a rotate and balance I'll take them up on it I think.
