Paint is dead. Everyone is wrapping now.

I can't stand that either,
Anybody who has ever owner a wrapped car knows that they are real hard to take care off.
Hand washes only. Very clean rags needed or scratches will be all over it. If the edges are not tucked properly, they can catch something and that panel will be ruined and need a re-wrap.
Nothing is better than paint.
I know a guy that has the California and Panamera. He had both wrapped the same color (matte gray) and put them both on red/black Forgiatos.
Needless to say, the wrap was only on about 6-8 months. Then the fact to get a good wrap job is 75% what a paint job costs, it is not a good temporary option either.

Completely agree

There are times when a wrap is ok. It's temporary, just like plastidip.

Yeah okay, wrap ain't happening.

Whilst you hens were clucking I actually purchased the bumper inserts ($149). I can actually swap them myself so it's an experiment on the cheap once the new wheels are on.

LR is really weird ... some things are insanely difficult and expensive relative to GM and others are insanely easy and cheap. The bumper inserts are easy and cheap, as is changing HID bulbs (I upgraded my bulbs and the dealer charged me $40 to do it, good luck getting a Caddy dealer do it for that cheap), same thing with the side moldings if I ever wanted to swap them for a different color they just snap off. OEM wheels on the other hand are almost as expensive as forged mono blocks (thankfully they resale for the same price) and the door handle thing is insane. If I wanted to change my interior wood trim color, $5K thank you very much. There's no rhyme or reason to it, it's just how it is. Thankfully the trim level I bought basically has everything, now that I bought those rims the only thing exterior wise that sets it apart front the $140K Autobiography trim is the door handles, so I just need to decide if they're worth it.

can you sell your stock handles for $1,000-$1,500 to help cover the $2,000 cost of the other ones?

If you drop $2k on friggin door handles I will personally come up there literally right now and kick you swiftly in the testicles and abruptly depart. And I'll high five Nathan on the way back.

How much of that $2k is just the labor you're getting charged?
