wheel offset and tire size

so to get the rims flush or out just a tad i shoud just stick with a 285/75 r 16? and what back space and rim size should i use a 8" or wider wheel?

I wanted to bring this thread back to see what the original poster ended up doing.

I'm looking at running the same size tires on a 8" wide wheel and can only find it in 5" backspacing, not 4.5" as recommended here.
