The width between all the tires need to match. If your front stance width is different from your rear if could be ******* the drivetrain. Obviously 2wd don’t apply
I disagree- as long as the tire diameters are the same it doesn’t matter if they’re staggered. The drivetrain isn’t going to know the difference. Everything I’ve read states this. In fact, some BMW’s with X-Drive either come staggered standard or can be ordered with wider wheels and tires in the rear.

Staggered , that’s the word I’m looking for lol
Good point in the Bmw’s , didn’t think about that. Was just my over engineering thoughts I guess lol
