Well first of all i will say i made a ported box the other day and i think it sounds way worse than my sealed. I made it to all the specs it needed to be to. Im going back to sealed.

Anyways. Everytime in drive, when i come to a stop. My sub woofers will make my voltage drop hard. Do i need a cap? Or....What.

Its fine when moving and in park.

idle is higher when moving or in park. So alt is generating more electricity, I have a cap, but also an upgraded alt cause all adding an extra batter does (basically a cap) is stress the alt even more when it has to charge both the stock bat, and the cap. plus run your extra equipment. You might try getting a smaller pully on the alt. That way it will spin faster when at idle. (actually it will spin faster all over the board, but it will at idle which is where it seems you need it).

also, when youre moving, the alternator automatically charges the battery, that's why the meter stays at a certain number until you slow down to 10MPH or stop.

i wouldn't worry about it, although its extremely annoying

Have you done the big 3 or whatever it is called?
Also how old is the battery? How many watts are you running with your system? How old is the alternator?

Also I dont know where you are but in South Florida there is an alternator shop that will rebuild your stock alternator to a higher output one for cheaper than buying a new one.
