Im adding an amp to and sub to my 04 Yukon. Wheres the best place to go thru the firewall with the 8 gauge power wire?

I say this spot, thats open on both sides:

But I would rather go thru somewhere around here. Maybe thru the rubber surround of the main harness:

I plan on getting power from this junction box:

And Ill add an inline fuse somewhere between that junction block and the firewall... Just not exactly sure where...

Pickups and tahoes share a firewall and the for the plow pkg they were supposed to drill a hole but only dimpled the firewall. You can drill a hole thru the dimple or get through with other wires.1F404625-EDFD-48D1-988E-73F105DE7FC2.jpeg95E6E158-65F0-46DE-AE35-662D2FA9A837.jpeg

I would run it through where the main wire harness goes thru with the rubber boot, it's easier if you unwrap any tape around it in on the engine side and then push the wire thru to the engine bay from inside the cab, I did that on my nbs, on my nnbs I just ran it down the firewall and under the frame all the way to the back of the truck and came in from the bottom.
if you run it inside the cab be sure to run the power wire down the drivers side and run good brand name (insulated) rca cables down the passenger side otherwise your 99% likely to get noise interference (electrical whine), just a heads up on that to save having to do it again later.
