Me, no. It's all KnuKonceptz wiring and 0gauge power/ground.

Ah. Man, you're really only putting top notch stuff in your truck. I looked in to 0 gauge, but couldn't justify the extra expense.

knuconcepts is fairly cheap price compared to pretty much any other good quality wire out there, and is very good quality wire in my opinion, well worth whatever cost it is

and i did a self tapper to mine behind the seat mounting bracket or brace or whatever you wanna call it, kinda like the picture posted before

but for my other amp i have it grounded to one of the tie down bolts in the rear

:waytogo: ditto on the knu wire, im planning on getting a bunch of their pure copper 4g for my install.

when you say tie down bolt, are you talking about one of those bolts that has the giant torx head? where the heck did you get a torx driver that big?

my tool box, haha, you can go to sears and pick up a 3/8 inch driver set of torx bits, i'm not too sure but i think it was like a t55 or something around there, idk, but it was the same size as the tie down points on my 96, lol

but it will come out real hard cause of the sealent on the threads, i just took a wire wheel to it, cleaned the threads up and put it thru my ring terminal, worked on both trucks and never a problem with a ground

I used the second row seat bolt. Ground should be less than 12 inches. I bought an extra nut from the dealer, turned it upside down and bolted down the ground wire. So the existing bottom nut holds the seat down and the top nut secures the ground wire on the same bolt. Make sure you use wire brush to expose bare metal for good contact. Only way to be sure your grounding point is good is using a multimeter. Check out bcae.com for some good info.

hey guys thanks for the info. i actually decided to run a second battery and run a negative wire between the two batteries so i wont need to ground to the chassis. hopefully i'll have that setup this weekend.

i really like your idea though Dean. i'll go with that method if this whole isolated ground thing doesnt work out for some reason.

Don't forget to post pics when you're done. Good luck.
