where to start!?!?!

Sup dawgs, I need modifying my hoe, I really don't know where to start so I was hoping y'all would help me & give me some advice.. at first I was thinking of lifting it, but after seeing some pictures & videos from a couple of y'all,I decided to keep out nice& low..so how bout it?? I have an 03 tahoe, 5.3 & I want to make it faster!!

making it faster a good start is a good flowing exhaust a cold air intake and some long tube headers, after that a corvette servo could always help out your tranny and then get a black bear tune, check out their page they are a vendor here,

For some real advice, start with what your budget can bear.

For a coolness factor, you may want to start with what is obvious on the outside. Wheels, tires and lowering kit/shocks, sway bars, adjustable panhard - just these things alone can cost you $3K+ or so depending on what you want.

Those items mentioned by Josue above are also things many choose to do to their truck for some minor power upgrades. Free flowing, big valve heads could get you some more power, but you're talking $$ and surgery.

If you need a sound system, this is also something that can cost, but you can break it up into small chunks of money and get results you can literally hear.

Ok, thanx josue, I'm already looking into all that.. I'll post up better pics of my ride in a bit..
& Joe, ur right I should have started by mentioning a budgets, which is like $400-$500 @the end of the month.. I was thinking of starting off slow with performance parts, I already have a nice lil system& rims..but I get what u mean.. thanx!!

corvette servo
LT headers with ORY pipe
ported throttle body

all those future mods im looking for are not that costly and from all the info ive gathered with those mods and my current mods it should deffenetly wake up these trucks

Cam, headers to start. My old 5.3 was pretty peppy with those mods. She really woke up when I threw the Radix on there.

Thanx homies..I installed a spectra intake just the other day,& boy do I feel/hear the difference.. I was thinking of buying the headers next, what brand do y'all recommend?!? & where can I get the corvette servo??

heres where i ordered mine now on headers it all depends on your budget i got my obx headers with an off road y pipe brand new from a member on performancetrucks.net for 250 and love them they defenetly gave me some good top end but with a tune it should wake up the truck alot better

Does it matter what I install first? The corvette servo,camshaft, or headers?? Am I gonna have to tune it every time I install something??
