Hi, wondering is anyone has seen this? On top of both fenders, under the hood. Looks like coming from roof pillars
? Thanks. 2017 Tahoe LT 23,000 miles.

Driving in salt? Following a dumpster full of old drywall?

looks to me like it matches the rest of the dust and crud under the hood, pressure wash it and clean it. I do mine about twice a year.
A little soap and water wont hurt anything. How do think used car dealers make a car look nice?

Really not as cruddy as the pic shows, but I like yours better. I'll get to it when it stops snowing here.

Salt yes, drywall no, lol.
just looks like typical underhood crud, water does run down from the roof/windshield/pillars, there is a rubber seal along the edge of the hood gap but nothing to stop flow into the cracks and crevices otherwise, all you can really do is clean it up once in a while. I use gunk stage 2 to give it a little shine afterwards, the can says it helps prevent dirt from clinging back on, not sure how true that is but it makes it look nice

Worst case scenario, could be dried coolant. But there's usually a trail leading back to the source of the leak.

Lol, not coolant. it's a 8 year truck it's dirt and crud, a little elbow grease and it will look like new again.
btw coolant tank, heater hoses, etc. is on the other side of the engine compartment and dexcool is ORANGE color.
The newer 21+ do have the coolant tank on the drivers side
