I have been searching for a while now, here and other sites/forums, looking for an answer as to why I do not see a "white" wire as stated on all of the wiring diagrams I have found/downloaded. I am hooking up the python 952(5902) alarm w/ remote start to my 2005 Escalade(fully loaded) and have hooked up the alarm but I am quite leary to hooking the remote start wiring up to only the "pink" ignition wire because of the warning stated on every sheet about wiring up the second ignition.

Can anyone tell me exactly where this "white" wire(second ignition) is or supposed to be or the size of it? The harness at my switch has 1-red, 1-red/white, 1-pink, 2-yellow, 1-orange, 1-brown. The small guage wiring up to the top of the switch does not include a white wire either. (Yes, they both are actually yellow, one goes to a large connector bottom of dash, other to the fuse panel)

one of those yellows is your white..the real question is if your doing this install you should have a dmm.. why havnt you tested. any ig wire should stay hot all the way through crank. i bet one of those yellow is start and the other is 2nd ig. its just become discolored,

it is possible and i'm going to have to buy another meter. Mine decided that it didn't want to work anywork this morning since I'v decided to do this install. FML I cleaned the wires really well because they all had a bit of the typical yellow grease and one of them did lighten up slightly but it still looks really yellow.

Just really would have liked to have this finished tonight and not have to drive to work in the morning with an open dash, lol.

In the brush near the river.
Careful probing yellow wires! The airbag wires are in yellow tubing. Remote starts, especially on vehicles with immobilizers, can be very difficult if you are not an experienced installer. Good luck!

not airbag wiring, far from it, but thanks for the warnings guys. I'll either make a 12v test light or wait until tomorrow and buy another meter or borrow one. I'm an electrician bytrade also an electrical planner and fied engineer, so I have plenty of buds with tools that I might be able to borrow if i'm missing something, lol. really the only perk, lol.

oh, by the way, about the color charts.... I had one come with the kit, I've downloaded 3 and viewed numerous others from tahoe, yukons, trucks, etc. they basically are all the same with the "white" wire, therefore one of mine MUST be white, lol. I just would prefer to find an actual schematic of the ignition harness and/or ignition switch and starting circuits and it would be a simple trace.

unknown at this time.
The white wire on ignition fuse feeds the IGN0 and TBC_IGN0 fuses on the instrument panel fuse blocks. Now in pin-out of column connector that IGN0 is a different color and marked for use on exported vehicles only.

I see dark green, brown and pink as three wires form switch that feed power from the ignition switch plus starter circuit. Which power pass thru's do you have connected to what wires already?

I agree with groundscr8pr. Your white wire probably appears to be yellow.

Here is the ignition switch pinout:

A - brown - accessory 2
B - red/white - 12V
C - pink - IGN1
D - yellow - starter
E - white - IGN2
F - red - 12V
G - orange - accessory 1 (heater/ac)

Thanks for the help and info guys. I left it alone last night and waited until I could check out a meter at work today during lunch. went out to the Kadlak and voila! My other "yellow" must be white because it showed 12v in run and start only, lol. I took a couple of pictures of the wires last night but I'm sure no one really wants to see them. The white wire is so discolored that when I wiped a small section of it with acetone, it still did not turn white, but a deep tan color. (that section has been protected with scotch 33 for future degradation) So annoying when tools/equipment stops working and puts your projects on hold. I'll still have to wait to complete the install when I have time. Looking forward to being an active member on the forum. I've been away from forums for a while. My main one in the past was TCCOA due to my 5.4L cougar. Yes I own ford products and have owned chrysler also, lol.
