Just wanted any input and advice before I pull the trigger on my battery delete.
This is my goals
4A48AE53-CE0C-434D-81C3-34B8BA55AC16.jpeg
My parts list Include
6 yinlong lithium cells
Buss bars to connect
End bars to connect the wires
Distribution block for the anl fuses between the amp and cells
Lto balancer to keep the cells in order
Going to use my current power wire for my amp and undo it from the terminal and replace the thermal fuse (power) wire with it so I don’t have to run a new 0g wire
Then I’ll just have a 3ft run from the cells to the block to the amp and throw a good ground in and I should be good to go.
These are 35 ah cells and should have 0 voltage drop compared to my current setup which drops in the mid 10s low 11s

Yes it’s to power the 2500watt amp and eventually I’ll add another 800-1000watt for the door speakers and tweeters
Voltage drop with the stock altertator and battery is a issue and this would be a more long term solution vs just doing a bigger alternator since my battery already sucks the yinlong cells are supposed to last 10 years give or take if kept up properly where my normal batteries give out every couple of years

I have heard those lto cells are really good, but get expensive and heavy. so not a lot of use in the automotive world. but yours makes sense.

cool.

I am a Ham radio operator and we use Lithium almost all the time. A couple of items of caution lithium cells are extremely explosive if used wrong or shorted. I would highly suggest a proper container for their storage so if something does happen it is contained. Second and most important is proper charging. They can't be just hooked to the system without some safe guards. Since they have a long life span before they start going down you might consider a "Shore Line" that would allow you to have a proper lithium charger with built in conditioner to keep your batteries at peak condition. Emergency vehicles like ambulances have used this method for years and believe me you aren't nearing the drain an ambulance has.

Sounds like a fun project good luck!
