I call mine a truck because SUV has 3 damn syllables. Even worse is Sport Utility Vehicle. Waaaaay too many damn syllables.

I call mine "the turd" because it burns oil and valves tap with 14k miles on it. No more Chevrolets for me...

"a: to put in condition or position for use"

When my truck(s) are hooked up to my trailer(s) at work, I tend to refer to the whole setup as a "rig". Otherwise, I call it my truck (including my Wife's Yukon).

My first Reforger..1984. My platoon leader was TC'ing and wanted to get to the CO fast. He decided to have us go through a swampy area. So far, so good. I was was good driver and he was getting cocky. He suggests going through a pond instead of going around it. I suggested that it wasn't a good idea and then he adds the tag line..thats an order. Yes Sir! Off we go. The pond is two feet of water on top of six feet of mud and silt. Almost all the way through we hit something submerged and the 113 tilts over and gets mired. The Lt grabs the PRC77, hops on t th berm, says thanks for the ride and starts trekking off. Lol, best times of my life! C-trp 1/2 ACR. Scouts out!

Update: I found a pic in my photo album of said incident. This photo is from 1984 s s about th quality. Lol. Our m88 pulled my 113 straight through that berm the three guys are standing on. IMG_20151105_122159.jpg

Hmm, two feet of water, and _six feet of mud_? I'm thinking that Platoon leader would have 'disappeared'. But that's just me.

Haha he did. Lt Butterbar ran off the left me to deal with it. My 113 had my arms room in it. I was basically just functioning as a battle taxi for the officers so it didn't matter if I was stuck in mud at the time.

In my field we call anything mobile a rig. Anway, better than calling a Tahoe a "Hoe." If I met anyone in real life that did this I'd know that I can't have a serious conversation with them about anything.
