How are they doing so far? I'm debating about swapping my All-season Continentals for the AT4 GY Trail Runners. How is the sound on dry payment and performance in winter so far?

@B520044 - Did you ever switch your Cross Contacts? If not, how do they do in snow. I'm debating keeping or swapping for Cooper AT3 4S....

Had two sets of the At3 4s ‘s on my ‘16 Suburban. Really great in snow and good overall performers. Will put them on my At4 when the stock Goodyears wear.

@NYisles1 good to hear! Appreciate the feedback. About how many miles out of the at3’s? Was noise bad?

Does anybody else with factory Cross Contacts hate them? They are smooth and quiet but also scary in the rain. Our yukon is all over the road when it hits even the slightest puddle of water. I live in the PNW and it rains a lot so even though they only have 6k miles on them they are being replaced next monday

Are you driving in AUTO mode. I had the same issue (in heavy rain) when I hit puddles in auto Mode (down right dangerous). It was as if any hydroplaning confused the auto system, went to 2WD and problem solved. Powered right through the puddles, since then only use 2WD in the rain.

Got 60k out of the Wrangler SRA's that came stock on the Suburban, then 55k out of the first set of Cooper AT3 4s, and have 15k on the second set. Mostly highway miles but often loaded up with the family, gear and a utility trailer. They get a little louder as they wear but nothing like the BFG TKO2 or Wrangler Duratracs we have on our other trucks.

I actually swapped out my SLT for the AT4, so now have the stock GY Trail runners.. They are cheap tires, but I don't have any complaints yet. I have 8k miles on them and they are quieter than I expected. No off road or snow use yet. Not sure I would get them again or upgrade; too early.

She's in 2wd so I'm not sure what the deal is but hoping the new tires make a difference. We ran 33" duratracs on our '11 suburban for years and it ripped through puddles no problem at all. I'm assuming the ridge grapplers will do the same

Ridge Grapplers are on and perform very well in the snow. Have now encountered fluffy snow, snow drifts, compact ice and lots of slush and they handled them all like a champ with the Yukon in AUTO setting. Also just before Christmas drove through some pretty heavy rains on the highway (70-80 mph) and they cut through the water like a boss. Night and day difference over the cross contacts that were on there.

A good highway all season should be superior to AT and MT tires in the snow and rain.
