Super old thread resurrection - but I've been reading the all-time most viewed threads on this forum. Just bought a 2001 Suburban 2500 4x4 LT with the 8.1 in pristine condition......but 188k miles. Kind of felt a little like a gamble to me. But after reading through this thread, I'm not worried at all!

558,000 from what I saw......and that was three years ago. Tons of over 300k mile rigs. It’s a thing of beauty.

Wow! I’m genuinely impressed. The purpose of mine is to carry 6 people and a dog several times a year while towing 8k lbs. I might put 5,000 miles a year on it at the most. I now see I didn’t need to worry about my 188k seemingly well cared for miles!
