Why is it so hard to find the correct fog light?

I need a passenger side assembly for my rig. I've ordered two different ones that both said they would fit but neither one does. The mounting brackets are completely different and I can't even combine parts to make one good one. O'Reilly and NAPA both say they don't carry them.

Why is this so hard? Am I missing an obvious source? It seems like a part that should be available somewhere.

I had purchased a fog light off of eBay and all I did was query for a fog light for my year Yukon. No issue at all, fit just fine.

Hmmmm - for whatever reason I never think of ebay when looking for parts like that. But you're right - I should and thanks for the tip.

I always think auto parts store first then some of the online parts houses. You would think that, if they say it will fit it will fit.

I'll order one of the ebay sets and cross my fingers.

yup... easy to get on eBay and make sure you get the pair, that way they both look and reflect light the same. You should be able to get both for less than $50
