So my truck went in to the dealership because my lifters are getting louder and louder, so loud that I had to use my remote starter every single morning because the noise that lasts for several minutes drives me nuts! The other day I used the remote start about a minute before I left the building figure another minute or so to walk to the vehicle. As I was pulling out of the lot a garbage truck was coming so I got on it to get in front of it, the next day my boss jokingly asked me if my truck was a diesel!

My truck has been there since Thursday and today I get a call that my 2010 Platinum with 69K isnt covered! The service advisor said the shop supervisor said "they are not "tearing it down for that". What do I do? What are my choices? This is my only car so the last few days were hectic, dont want to just go to another dealer and maybe get the same answer. Any help would be appreciated!

if id paid that kinda money for an escelade and the motor is sounding like a diesel and some shop supervisor said its not coverd id say "okay ill give you two options 1 is just get it fixed like you supposed to 2 is for me to drive this escelade right up yer ass"

yes definatly go to a different dealer i had a few things break under warrantly on my ranger like center console arm rest broke mirror fell out and clunky rear end and berge ford basically gave me a song and dance polite way of saying its not coverd go piss in the wind
i took it to a different dealer in casa grande and before i even said anything they assumed they were going to warranty everything and were having my differential setup to be looked at and eventually replaced

Your problem was going to BERGE FORD. Those guys are butt holes. That dealership in casa grande is awesome. I dont own a ford, but have always heard good things about them.
I will also never go back to ANY Eearnhardt dealership! They fixed my car, but they kept it for nearly 5 months doing so. I knew what the problem was and so did the service rep, but the mechanics said they needed to start from the bottom and work up.
So, to fix a pin hole in the master cylinder they....
replaced the brake pedal sensor
replaced the brake pedal assembly
replaced brake pedal electrical wiring...that went to sensor
replaced brake lines
replaced rotors...calipers...pads
replaced transmission
and finally...entire master cylinder.
I basically got a brand new car back, but with an extra 2k miles.
I was ok with them taking it for that long. The car was NOT SAFE to be on the road.
As we would drive the pin hole would leak pressure into another chamber that would eventually cause the brakes to lock up! This happened to my wife as she was on the freeway going 70mph. Damn near killed her and our new born daughter!

Ummm, what was this thread about?.....

Oh yes, I would head to a couple of dealers and get a couple of estimates. That should be under warranty.

had something similar happen years back with my impala. Needed a secondary steering column lube job or some ******** and they refused to do it, I had 2 months left on my warranty and had never used it before...I had to get irate and be an ******* but after 20 min of raising my voice/using choice words they agreed to do it.

Not saying you wanna go that route but worked for me lol and I understand your frustration. Probably be best just to take it elsewhere, GL
