im a senior tech for a lexus dealership here in california and your situation wouldnt be allowed to reach the situation that store has created as we pride ourselves on guest relations, as cadillac is gms flagship brand the same customer service should be fantastic. i would call the gm directly and express your concern. and if its truly is a non warranty concern then ask for a 1 time goodwill gesture in a effort to maintain customer satisfaction as you and your family are long time gm customers. its cheaper for gm to pay your claim than to loose customers. hope that helps good luck also look up your local lemon laws
