i asked a friend about what he thought on the subject and he and i agreed on this,,, most factory amps that we have seen in the past were like 50 - 75 watts... and those were for the old one.. im thinkin factory amps now days are like 100 - 200 watts.. now keep in mind its just a guess... i dont know much bout bose but i know factory speakers dont hold much power... so i would feel comfortable in saying the amp is anywhere from maybe 150 - 200 watts with it being a 4 channel amp... keep in mind its just a guess but i think it sounds pretty damn good for a guess

im almost all out of ideas man besides the one u said bout tryin the stock unit..... only other thing i can even try and consider is replacing the wire to that speaker... lets retrace, u swapped speakers, u played with the balance and fade, no bass signal to speakers, dont know the outcome of u swappin stock hu, and i dont know what u mean by pac oem-1 stuff.... only thing i can come up with is wire... i always upgraded my wire when i upgraded speakers.. and also if u go with the fosgate amp that gives u more room for system expansion. lemme know how it goes

Just measure AC voltage at each speaker (unhooked). If they are remarkably different then the amp is probably on its way out.

wires shouldnt be an issue.. 99.9% of shops will never even offer wire upgrade as an option because on some vehicles (ours for sure) its a nightmare to get the wires back through the stock loom.

unless the wire is nicked? and the clipping is coming from it grounding out?

i have seen speakers mounted super tweaked, where the speaker wasnt mounted flush.. and the speaker clipping because at the top of its throw it would bind.. because of the sub moving up and down the coax pole..

Its possible it could be an ohm load issue and by fading it full front or full rear something in the bose amp is being tricked into throwing a different ohm load... so when its letting itself naturally divide by four its pulling lets say 4ohm.. when it wants 8.. so youre getting a restrictive ohm load trip and its only happening on one channel.. could be something as simple as that channel is further along down the chain.. and when it clips that ones first it comes up to 6 and will settle there......

Chances are your aftermarket headunit pushes more power than the bose amp anyway... so just bypass it and chances are your issues will all go away
