Will this LQ9 work to swap?

4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 externally are exactly the same, Longblock 'usually' does not include the intake, just heads down. Shortblock, just take heads off.

wow i didnt know that, thats new news to me. So another question, obviously id have to get it tuned for a 6.0, Blueflamed- would black bear be able to do that for me along with one of their tunes?

Yes, they can do that.. I got a LQ9 - and used all my 5.3 parts - DO IT ALREADY!! : ) :)

A short answer to your question is yes...

...but with that said is not overly complicated from what I've read

The easiest way is to get the PCM from a 6.0 vehicle (or better yet that was with the motor orginally) and have it tuned.
