Wind noise, yes I’ve searched.

Hey guys, my new to me 07 Escalade has the most annoying high pitched wind whistle at high speeds from the passenger window. When it happens if I hit the up switch on the passenger window it will stop even though the window only went up half a mm (it is already all the way up) and will stay quite for a few seconds then start again. I had the real wind noise from a broken reveal molding on the drivers side which I’ve addressed but this sounds different.

You hear the noise, the window looks up to you, you hit the up switch and window moves a "half mm" and noise stops. Then you continue to drive and you hear the noise again. Do you then hit the up switch again? Does the noise stop if you do? Or does the noise never stop again, after the initial up switch attempt?

Sounds like the "park" of the window does not stay when you continue to drive. If you park the vehicle while the noise is stopped, does the noise start right up as you drive again? You can remove the inner door cover and watch the window. Or, you have a seal problem where the window parks at when up.

if I continuously hit the up switch to get that last little squeeze out of the window it stops and comes back repeatedly, I tried to push the window down by hand to see if there was play in the regulator and nothing. I put some tap of the window to door frame upper edge this morning before heading to work to try to isolate the seal and no difference.

I would thoroughly clean the entire seal, all around where the window seats when up. Then get the correct silicone grease lube and lube the seal thoroughly. Then run the window up and down and put up for overnight and see what happens the next day.

To update, I filler the gap between the reveal molding and the door itself with black silicone and no more noise.

Can you post a picture and indicate EXACTLY where you added and ran the silicone bead?
