Hi im new to the board. from NYC . I have been hearing a winding sound when i am in 2wd for about a couple weeks now. I have a 09 tahoe.. It seems like the 4wd is engaged but the steering does not feel like it is though. has anyone else had this issue before. and what would the cost be to fix this?

senna1,

I'm sorry to hear of the trouble with your Tahoe vehicle. I encourage you to have the vehicle inspected by a certified technician. They will be able to assist you with a diagnosis and a quote after a physical inspection.

Please keep us posted.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

You need to give some more info. Where does the noise sound like it's coming from? Does it change with speed/RPMs? Do you feel a difference in power? Get a vibration?

Need some more.
