Window goes down but not up?

My front driver's window has decided to stop rolling up, it'll roll down normally, but when I press up on the switch it jumps up maybe 1/2 inch or so and then won't move at all. Does that sound like a window regulator?

If it does that consistently, then yes. If not, it's probably the switch.

Yea it does, it almost gets stuck at some spots but if I give it a nudge upwards it'll go up a bit more.

Try spraying compressed air in the window channels. Also spray some silicone spray in the tracks. A lot of the times dirt or the rubber dries out causing those symptoms. Of that dosent work, you need to pull the door panel and watch the window operate. Check for loose window channel bolts that are allowing the channel to shift causing the regulator to bind.
These motors have a built in safety feature that disables power until the motor cools down to prevent overheating of the motor.

I'll try that out, where are the window channel bolts exactly?
Not terribly familiar with interior work like this

Can’t remeber exactly. I work on a lot of cars for a living so it’s vague right now. When you pull the door panel follow the edge of the window. It’s pretry straight forward from there.

They’ll be plain as day when you pull the door panel off. Some are riveted. If you haven’t removed the panel before be sure to use the right tools and you may need to replace a few clips. My guess is the regulator is binding up. The track is wider at the bottom so going down is easy. You can shake the door and listen for anything rolling around too.

Funny, I just got the driver side switch panel with all the buttons, and the newer switch panel had the same problem on the rear passenger window. The old switch panel didn't do that, so I knew it was the switch itself. I took the switches apart. Turned out there was a little corrosion on the contact, cleaned it up and it works great now. Maybe that's your issue?
