I had my windshield replaced in my 07 Tahoe today due to the old one having scratches all over the outside of it. Apparently the previous owner lived up north and had to scrape ice off. My question is it looks like it might be ever so slightly off center and wonder if this will cause any kind of issues. I spoke with the company that had a tech come out to do the install and they were willing to install a new one again. Granted I asked them if it would hurt anything and they said no so I figured I would go with it for now and see if it ever leaks. But being all of you here are the experts i thought to ask here as well. Thanks for the advice.

How far off center is it? In all actuality it's not going to hurt anything as long as they set it on the bead (glue) correctly. If the glass doesn't leak now, it's never going to leak.

Luckily it has a lifetime warranty on it. I spoke with the tech about it and he said he lined up but even if it was slightly off it wouldn't hurt anything. Guess we will see lol.

Maybe an 1/8th of an inch if that.

Yea you're good to go. As long as it's not personally bothering you as far as appearance, there really is no other concern. I have found with both pgw and pilkington glasses that the porcelain band (black band around windshield) does seem to be a bit more narrow than it's factory counterpart.

Like said above, if visually you can live with it, as long as it's set on the urethane, it's not going to leak
