Do any of you guys have your windshield tinted? If so what percentage and do you like it? Saw a NNBS 'kon yesterday with the windshield tinted and I don't think I can live without having mine done now. Getting my windshield replaced first, got a nice bullseye in it.

I have my Trailblazer's tinted to about 35%. I did it mainly to help me see better because I have sensitive eyes and the looks are a nice bonus. It was actually an accident by the tinter, but I liked it so I told him to keep going. 50% is really ideal for the windshield otherwise, especially if you're one of the people who complain about not being able to see at night with 20% on the front side windows.

I have mine done with 50%, at first I was happy with it but after about a month or two I wished I went with 35%.

I think 50% is about the max I would go for vision and legal reasons. Living in Ohio can't you legally tint the entire windshield at 70% anyway?

As far as I know, NO film period is allowed on the entire windshield in any state.

I am almost certain you can have a 6" visor strip but I've been told so many different things.. I get tickets all the time for my side windows being 5% but never any for my visor strip or 35% on the windshield

from the outside during the day you can see the steering wheel and my hand and at night nothing but black

i have "dark" on my whole shield, which ever % that is im not sure. during a sunny day you still cant see in at all and at night, good luck. the outside visibility also depends on what percentage you have on all the other windows too. ive got limo on all the windows and dark on the shelf so its pretty dam hard to see in. i think i might go back to my guy and have him do limo on the windshield, might as well since its already illegal anyway.

Damn your lucky you haven't got a ticket yet. I just got slapped with a fine for my windows. I had 5% all the way around.

I got nailed with 26708.5 of the California Vehicle Code for my windows and 25950(a) of the California Vehicle Code
for my 10K headlights.

darosa, that sucks im sorry to hear that. ive had my fair share of tint tickets, but never for my windshield, and never on my tahoe. ive had dark tint on the shield of my last 4 vehicles. knock on wood. it does help that i have alot of cop buddies and most of them are in my city and surrounding cities. most of which know my truck and just throw a wave. it was pretty funny, last night i actually had an officer i know pull me over and ask who did my window tint cause he wants the same on his tahoe, i thought it was pretty funny.
Is your ticket correctable or non correctable??
