Just get a tint prescription or a doctor's note saying you have sensitive eyesight, i know more than a couple people with em, legitimately and not so legitimately, doesnt matter though as long you carry the paper the doctor gives you

darosa, that sucks im sorry to hear that. ive had my fair share of tint tickets, but never for my windshield, and never on my tahoe. ive had dark tint on the shield of my last 4 vehicles. knock on wood. it does help that i have alot of cop buddies and most of them are in my city and surrounding cities. most of which know my truck and just throw a wave. it was pretty funny, last night i actually had an officer i know pull me over and ask who did my window tint cause he wants the same on his tahoe, i thought it was pretty funny.
Is your ticket correctable or non correctable??

Thankfully it's correctable. The Officer who pulled me over seemed to have it out for me. He literally walked around my truck and wrote down every violation my truck had. He even warned me about the tinted plate covers that I had on my Tahoe.

I know a lot of Officers in my town since I'm a EMT, but never met this guy. I think he's a fresh out of the academy pup who had to prove a point. What sucks even more is I had a prescription for my windows from my optometrist but the cop said he didn't give a shit and my optometrist isn't God and can't make up his own laws.

As far as I know, NO film period is allowed on the entire windshield in any state.

At one point and time Ohio did allow 70% for the entire windshield. I researched and found they are now like just about every other state and stating a banner down to the "AS-1" line.

I have one legitimately and the Officer said that it doesn't matter if I had one or not, tinted front side windows are not permitted in California past factory tinting. I am going to take the Officer to court and fight it. I already removed the tint to write off the ticket but going to put them back on after I battle it out in court.
