Our '91 Suburban had the sprayer on the wiper arms, then they put them on the cowl for the GMT400, then they put them back on the arm for the GMT800.
I wonder if this is why?

My dad has a '98 Sierra, and the driver side sprayer gets the whole windshield. The passenger side is acting up and only sprays about half way up the windshield, though.
