Wiring backup camera NBS?

Looking at installing a auto vox cam1 backup cam in my 2003 Tahoe. Did you tap into power at taillight and which wire at rear harness if you remember?

I believe I can grab power under the dash by bcm or just use reverse wire. Guess I don't need camera on all the time.

I have an always-on camera. I ran the power from the dash. I could not find switched power anywhere in the rear compartment. And yes, the reverse light is where you would want to tap it if you want it only on when backing up (I caught my reverse wire off the factory towing harness).

just google the trailer connector wiring diagram, it will show which pin is reverse then just tap the wire behind the connector at the corresponding pin, use a meter and confirm it first of course.

This yellowish wire under the dash is the one that you are looking for. Last plug, bottom row 4th pin from the right hand side. I just tapped into it for mine, the purple wire is the wire to my head unit. Hope this helps!
