Hey all,

As I've documented here a number of times, I'm not a fan of doing electrical work, as easy as it may appear, for fear of wrecking something beyond repair. Well, I'm convinced that wiring two 6-ohm resistors into my Eagle Eyes LED tails can't be the toughest thing in the world, so I'm going to have at it. It's just that I need to know EXACTLY where I'm wiring what.

These are the G3/G4 tail lights that come with the black box style resistors. I'm assuming that I need to ditch the factory resistors and replace them with the 6-ohm, not piggy back the 6-ohm onto the existing resistors. Is that correct?

The resistors I got are from v-leds, and have a single, black wire extending out both ends of the resistor. They also come with blue wire "crimps."

Anyone have a diagram as to exactly where (onto which wires) these need to go? I'm assuming there's no polarity associated with the resistors. They look the same at both ends -- but what do I know?

I need either a diagram, or specific directions here, folks.

Thanks!!

Yes kmel you are correct. I'm on tappatalk app on iPhone so I can't paint a diagram but when I get on my desktop I'll draw it out. It directly replaces the stock resistor and there is no polarity specific way to put them in.

I just did this exact thing with my G4's and used the exact resistors from v-leds. What I did was unplug and discard the black box on the back of the taillight, this is the factory resistor. Then using the new resistors and the connectors, attach one end of the resistor to the factory green wire and one to the factory black wire. Mount/tie the resistor up somewhere. DONE. I have had these resistors on for about a month and there is no fast blink issure anymore.

That's what I suspected, Preston. Thanks for that info!
