hey im looking for some help. all of a sudden i have a sound coming from the front and rear wheels on the driver side only. its rythmic, the faster i go the faster the sound gets, then at 30mph its gone. also the slower i go the louder it gets. it kinda sound like a wisk broom or a flick sound. any ideas?

maybe something with the brakes, they front pads and rotors have about 12k on them the rear pads and rotors have about 6k. over the past month i switched to my summer wheels and lowered the rear only with pedders springs. i havent got an alignment yet since lowering b/c no one in my area can align 24's. any help appreciated

Sure its not your tires, sometimes the cheaper brands (not sure what you have) get loud?
Check your lugs to make sure they are tight, alignment has nothing to do with it since you did the rear only.
Maybe rubbing? Where is the sound coming from more?
Also your brakes may be sticky, maybe the pads not being completely loose off the rotor, or the e-brake being ever so slightly applied.

tires are nitto 420s tire pressure set at 40. how do you remedy stick brakes? i took a road trip the weekend before the problem started about 2hrs each way cruising at 75mph think that would have caused it?

Ok so it is def. not the tires. A road trip could cause sticky brake from being overheated and disformed slightly, maybe the rotors could be warped too.
I would say that your best bet is to jack the rear tires off the ground, support on jack stands. Then get in the car and put it in drive and hop out and listen/track down the exact location, ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE A 2WD Tahoe.

These steps should lead you to the exact problem area!

thanks for the help. powerslot rotors with hawk lts pads. its 4wd, but even if it wasnt, i'm not brave enough to put it in gear on some jack stands, and definitely wouldn't climb under it looking around, lol. if anybody else has any ideas chime in

My truck does the exact same thing, but only after it rains. I've figured it out to be the e-brake is grabbing slightly. My brakes and tires are brand new.

It sounds to me like it might be a clip from the caliper rubbing on the rotor. Take it to the shop you had the brakes done at and have them check. That happened to me in my old Dodge Ram and my Escalade when I did new rotors.

Well I am not going to rewrite what all has been suggested but I AGREE with everything mentioned to look at. So if it helps to have a 4th person tell you then I am that 4th.:D

did a little investigating today. i removed the rear wheel and i notice that i can move the rotor around some. in and out just a little, but enough to make some noise. what holds the rotors on. i have some holes but nothing is in them. isnt there supposed to be a torx screw in there or something???

If there are two empty holes, then that is your issue because one of them should have a small TORX screw.
Atleast thats what I noticed when I did my front spinlde drop and removed the rotors, sometimes the area on the rotor and screw head are marked with a color marker of some sort, did you notice the coloring?
My front rotors have a greem marking in that area.
