http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-RE-AUDIO-SX...ZCarQ5fSubwoofersQ5fEnclosures#ht_4911wt_1165

i have a kenwood amp that pushes 500 rms at 4 ohm 900 watts rms at 2 ohm and the box just says over 900 rms at 1 ohm would it be possible to push this sub with the amp i have? ive never had an 18 but i think it would be cool to try it out not too many people around here have 18 inch subs. im open to suggestions as well:)

Get it!!!! It's a good sub....If you do get it, put the full 1800 to it, it won't mind it at all!!! LOL Look at REs site, and get box specs. Something like this I think.................
Ported:
5.5 cubes @ 35 Hz
OR
8 cubes @ 34 Hz
( Above info from the site.)

ya well my amp will only push 900 at 2 ohms and doesnt have a definite rating at 1 ohm load just says over 900 so i figure 900 rms would be a decnt amount to push that sub

Buy a 15" or a larger amp, those REs are bad ************* and need lots of power if you're gonna run a big ass ported box.

m just not sure my amp will push over 900 and it seems as though it wont be enough for the sub.

I used to run a 15'' SX off 1000rms i loved it. they get super low and sound really clean. they get pretty loud too i had mine in 4 cubes tuned to 31hz it tore my blazer apart.

maybe ill look into a 15 then could save some money and still bump pretty good at 900 watts rms or run it at 1 ohm and get the over 900 rating lol whatever that means
