I have a 2005 Tahoe 192,000 miles, 5.3liter with automatic tranny and 2WD. All of a sudden the transmission won't go into park without me slamming it as hard as I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been out of work for a while and trying to find work so I can't afford to do much with it right now.

Check the linkage to the trans for adjustment.
Ditto^^^^. I just adjusted mine, it was pretty easy. There’s YouTube videos on it. The cable is actually 2 parts, one half is at the shifter lever and the other half at the trans and they’re connected in the middle with an adjuster there.
