I bet it's hard to past smog in a truck like that. What engine/transmission is in it?

It looks pretty nice. I don't believe they have anywhere near the ride quality as the Tahoe, but it's all in personal preference.

Personally, I'd love to trade my 4x4 Tahoe for a 4X2 Tahoe...but that's another story...lol

One thing is certain, that blazer does look good for sure.

I just talked to the guy and he told me it's a 305 with the 700r transmission. He just did a bunch of engine upgrades (which he's listed in the original post) and tagged it so it passes smog. I sent him some pics and he said he'd do a straight across swap with me. It's a reeeeeally tempting offer. I'm just not sure if I'm willing to part with the Tahoe after all the repairs I've made recently. I just had a new starter put in last week! My main concern is that I know exactly how reliable my Tahoe is, but I have no idea with this Blazer... but damn, is it a cool ******* truck or what?

Keep the tahoe IMO. The 84 has a crappy computer carb. If you notice all the stuff he replaced it was probably just to pass smog. New carb, computer, all new ignition...

Don't get me wrong I love me a K5, but I'd wait out for an 89-91 with TBI.

I really like the old k5 blazers, but IMO, your Tahoe is a much nicer vehicle.

Plus the bass will fit and you won't have to roll down the rear window to get it to fit ;)
