An oddity I recently stumbled upon with my '08 Yukon Denali...

I've verified this using two different scan tools. When I have the pedal pushed all the way to the floor, as far as I can push it, I'm only seeing about 83% throttle. I made sure the floor mat or anything wasn't obstructing the pedal.

Anyone have any thoughts into what might could cause this?

Did a little more digging and it seems GM has two values/measurements. What they call "absolute" throttle position and "command" throttle position. Apparently "absolute" will max out at around 84%.

No idea what the different is, between the two, nor why one maxes out at 84%, but that explains what I was seeing.

I've seen the same thing on mine as well and never bothered to find out why. In the old days, we would tweak the position of our TPS sensors with the scan tool to get maximum readings and thus max performance.
