I am the original owner of a stock 05 Tahoe LS with 4wd. It is an AZ and GA SUV- no rust, never off road or tow. Brakes and tires and scheduled fluid changes have been all that's needed. 125,000 miles. My local shop will do a 2" level, Bilsteins all around, 285/70/17 Nitto Grapllers, on Matte Black Pro Comps. Lugs, mount, balance, alignment, install for $2200. I don't plan on selling and would obviously drive till the wheels fall off if I get it done. My concern is my mileage. Am I getting to the point where I'm going to get nickle/dimed to death or even bigger issues? I know I'll never get this money back out of the truck, but am I gambling that it has more life?. Like everyone, every penny counts. No one has a crystal ball, but is this a foolish "investment"? Thanks

if it's been well taken care of and maintained it should last much longer than 125k. I'd do it if it was mine.

If you've been good on maintenance i'd say 125k is just getting broken in.....

I just did all new lowered suspension on my truck, brand new tires on my 24s and on my 22" ck375s. Had it tuned by Blackbear 2 months ago and mine has 197k. I love my truck and would keep it going for as long as I could. If I were you I'd put the money into it and not worry, specially since your the original owner.

Do it. These are the things that make the truck feel new again.

I put 12k into an XL with 200,000 miles. If you love it, know it's not going to rust into pieces, and plan on having it for awhile, make that truck bond even stronger by breathing some new life into it. I say go for it.
